News Congrats to the Driftclimber Snowmobile Club! has just won Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations Excellence Award for Snowmobile Club of the Year ALSO Driftclimber Snowmobile Club! Chad Patquin won Outstanding Youth of the Year 2008 Kenny, Brenda and Alex Dunphy won family of the year 2008 Fundy won Club of the year 2008 And we got mentioned as nominating them and this was very impressive. Driftclimber Snowmobile Club!is the oldest snowmobile club in Nova Scotia, established in 1969. It was originally located in Nine Mile River and now operates out of Wellington. Driftclimbers was the 2005 & 2007 SANS Club of the Year. We have attended several parades, had fundraisers, show 'n shine, trail work, mapping done . Driftclimbers Members had a great night at the SANS Banquet in Truro May 12 07 fun was had byA all . The Club recived Club of the year. Elma had made up a slide show showing the history and depth of the forty year old club. I think all that viewed it felt that Driftclimbers did deserved the Award and thanks to Alma. For snowmobilers that want to enter Driftclimbers trails. A new parking lot has opened up. Out the Beaverbank Road to the Intersection of the East Uniacke Road on the left , on the right there is Parking Lot . Look for the signs saying Driftclimbers Club Parking. The trails are next to the lot. Please bring out what you take in and enjoy. A place to unload that we are trying to keep plowed below. > |
